The Hardware
EOS® 500 Xcel
EOS® 500 Xcel Roller Blinds are designed to provide a reliable solution for window sizes up to 350cm x 300cm. The system provides high end technology in modular development to offer a wide variety of models (for example with or without mounting profiles and cassettes) against a limited number of components. The minimal hardware design enables our hardware to fit perfectly in most window frames for in recess installation.
Roller Blinds are available in spring, chain drive and motorised operating systems utilising a steel or aluminium roller tube and hard-wearing UV resistant plastics.

Design, functionality and comfort
- Our roller blinds are offered in several models —from bracket installation to complete cassette systems— that beautifully span all types of windows.
- Patented components (including an integrated leveler) offer easy installation with universal brackets that allow side, top, or end mounting without additional parts.
- A patented alligner and aligning discs allow for easy coupling of blinds for simultaneous motorised or crank operation and perfectly aligned bottom rails.
- The chain drive unit excels in maximizing operating comfort.
- The design increases the amount of light entering a space.
Operating Systems
Chain operation
A standard and sturdy operating system for precise control and user convenience. Ball chain operation is available in stainless steel (standard) or plastic (optional) for right or left hand operation.
LiteRise®
Our latest addition to the range of EOS® 500 Xcel operating systems. Our cordless LiteRise® system is the most child and user friendly operation available in today’s market. Simply raise and lower the blind by pushing or pulling the lower bar. LiteRise® offers precise control and a very sleek appearance.
EasyMotion
Hunter Douglas Roller Blinds can be fully motorised for guaranteed operation, precise control and enhanced safety. The blinds can be operated through an elegant wall switch or remote control. Hunter Douglas motorised blinds can also be seamlessly integrated with any home automation system.
Crank operation
Crank operation allows the user to effortlessly raise and lower the blinds in a safe manner with one easy-to-use crank. Crank operation is especially effective for larger sized blinds and hard to reach windows.
The Collection
Extensive fabric choices
Our collection includes hundreds of beautiful colours in a wide variety of fabric textures and transparencies.
Additionally, many fabrics can be produced as one piece for even the largest sized widows.
Proprietary fabric treatments
- Topar®(Plus): A heat and light reflective, colourless coating. Insensitive to humidity and insect excrements.
- Dustblock® enhances the moisture- and dust repellent properties. Flame retardant fabrics available.
Safe and sustainable
The large majority of fabrics is certified by Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 and hence free from any potentially harmful substances.
GreenScreen®
The perfect high-end sustainable solution for projects.
- GreenScreen® fabrics are 100% PVC free.
- GreenScreen® Eco is Cradle to Cradle Certified™ at the Bronze level, and carries the GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified® label.
- Moreover, the screens may contribute to LEED or BREEAM certification.
GreenScreen Sea-Tex™
Recycled Ocean Plastic
GreenScreen Sea-Tex™ is the world’s first sunscreen fabric made from 50% recycled ocean plastic waste. The plastic in the Pacific Ocean has created a 'plastic soup’ of up to 15 million square kilometers which would take hundreds of years to break down. Helping clean up this waste is one of the world’s most pressing environmental concerns.
For a project of 1,000 roller blinds (with an average size of 3.5 m²) a total of 438 kg of reclaimed ocean plastic is reused and combined with our new Cradle to Cradle Certified™ EOS® 500 Xcel Roller Blind system, our customers can now assemble a fully Cradle to Cradle Certified™ product.

Coupage Services
All items in our Roller Blind Collection are available for coupage to help our customers save on sampling costs. The coupage service provides samples needed for product testing, and the development of collections and collection or dummy books.
We offer both cut length and a4 sized samples.
Coupage is currently not available for regular orders.
